Built in 1926, there is a modern mikvah on the premises. Services are held on Monday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.; on Friday night before sunset (7:00 p.m. in summer); and on Shabbat at 9:00 a.m. followed by kiddush. Guests are welcome!

Congregation Shaarei Zedek — Conservative

Saint John, New Brunswick

Services are held on Friday nights at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. From late October until May, services are held in the chapel in the Jewish Community Centre and in the synagogue on Saturday mornings through the summer months, with Friday evening services remaining in the community centre.

Because of the diminishing membership of our congregation, we created the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum (the only Jewish museum in the Atlantic provinces) to preserve our heritage. We receive visitors from around the world, and the museum boasts international membership. Open May to October and during the winter, we welcome group tours by appointment.
