Ted Zacks
Ted Zacks has been the CEO of a family-owned real estate firm for more than 15 years. Preceding that, for 20 years, Ted practised law in Vancouver with McCarthy Tetrault and its predecessor firm in Vancouver.
Ted has been active in Jewish communal affairs for more than 40 years. He is a founder and past president of Camp Hatikvah Foundation; past president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver (JFGV); past chair of Greater Vancouver’s Combined Jewish Appeal; past chair of the Jewish Community Foundation of JFGV; and a past member of the Board and officer of United Israel Appeal Federations Canada (UIAFC).
Currently, Ted is the chair of JFGV’s Partnership 2000 Committee; co-chair of the Youth & Education Subcommittee of the Coast-to-Coast Canada/Galilee Panhandle Partnership 2000 Steering Committee; a member of UIAFC’s Audit committee; a member of the Board and Audit Committee of Canadian Jewish Congress; and a member of the Board of the Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy, chair of its Audit Committee and a member of its Budget and Allocations Committee.
Ted earned Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from The University of British Columbia and a Master of Laws degree from The London School of Economics. He resides in Vancouver with his wife, Linda. Together, they have a son, Aaron.
