LE CONGRÈS JUIF QUÉBÉCOIS OFFRE UN CONCERT DE MUSIQUE KLEZMER
À SAINTE AGATHE POUR UNE 2eme ANNÉE CONSÉCUTIVE
MONTRÉAL, LE 27 JUILLET 2010 – Le Congrès juif québécois (CJQ) est fier de collaborer, pour une deuxième année, avec la ville de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts dans le cadre de « Bonjour Shalom Ste-Agathe », une soirée musicale mettant en vedette SALONIKA et WANDERING STARS. Ce concert, ouvert au public, vous transportera dans un tourbillon de saveurs, de couleurs et de sons :

« La communauté juive est très présente à Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. Elle fait partie de notre histoire et nous croyons qu’il est important de bâtir des ponts entre nos différentes cultures. Quoi de mieux que la musique pour le faire ? » a souligné M. Denis Chalifoux, Maire de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. « Nous sommes heureux que le Congrès juif québécois ait répondu à notre appel pour une deuxième année car nous aimerions faire de cet événement une tradition estivale » a-t-il ajouté.
Vedette du petit écran et membre du Conseil d’administration du CJQ, Ariel Ifergan agira à titre de maitre de cérémonie. « Cette soirée est à l’image de Ste-Agathe : un panaché de cultures, de personnalités et de talents. Cette initiative, nous réunit autour des valeurs qui constituent l’étoffe québécoise, celles du dialogue, et de l’ouverture. Mais plus que tout, en célébrant Ste-Agathe par la musique, nous célébrons une ville qui donne une âme à nos cœurs » a tenu à souligner Ariel Ifergan.
WANDERING STARS est un projet du Centre Segal des arts de la scène. Le Congrès juif québécois est le porte-parole officiel de la communauté juive du Québec.

QJC brings Klezmer to Ste Agathe for the 2nd year in a row
MONTREAL, JULY 26, 2010- Quebec Jewish Congress (QJC) is pleased to collaborate for the second year in a row with the Town of Ste Agathe des Monts for BONJOUR, SHALOM Ste-Agathe, featuring the up and coming bands SALONIKA and WANDERING STARS. The event is open to the public and offers spectators a wonderful blend of traditional Klezmer and Quebecois melodies. This special one time performance is open to the public and will take place on:

“The Jewish Community of Ste Agathe des Monts is an active community. It is an significant role in our history which is why we feel it is important to build bridges between our culture, and what better way to do it than through music?” noted Denis Chalifoux Mayor of Ste Agathe des Monts. “We are thrilled that the Quebec Jewish Congress agreed to come back again this year and we hope to make this event an annual tradition.”
Quebec TV star, and QJC Board Member, Ariel Ifergan will be on hand to MC the evening. “Much like the town of Ste Agathe, this special program is a blend of cultures, personalities and talent. It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the cherished values that make up the fabric of Quebec, dialogue and openness.” noted Ifergan. “In celebrating Ste Agathe through music, we are celebrating a town that puts soul into our hearts.”
