Re:Painfully slow court system gives war

criminals free pass, Opinion, Feb. 16

Bernie Farber’s piece about war criminals and the slow Canadian court system is, unhappily, accurate. The fact that we are finally acting on other, newer cases of war crimes in the world is progress but I am disheartened and ashamed of our record regarding the Nazis. How much evidence or evil do we need before we act?

Winnipeg - Following CJC's efforts to have a resolution against racial discrimination passed by the National Convention of the Canadian Federation of Mayors and Municipalities, the Convention presented a resolution saying it opposed "religious and racial discrimination in all fields of municipal activities" and suggesting that "measures be taken... with the view of implementing this recommendation."
